The Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, Murat Kurum, inspected the construction works in Malatya on-site. He conducted inspections in areas such as the governor's office, markets, and the city center, and instructed to accelerate the works. Kurum warned the contractors by saying, "If you don't work, I will take necessary actions," and requested that work be done day and night, conveying the message, "Don't hold meetings, get the job done."
The Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Murat Kurum, evaluated the current status of ongoing construction works in the city during a coordination meeting held at the Malatya Metropolitan Municipality as part of the Malatya program. In the meeting attended by Malatya Governor Seddar Yavuz, Metropolitan Mayor Sami Er, and district mayors, Minister Kurum received information from the officials and gave new instructions in line with the citizens' demands.
INSPECTION AT THE COMPLETED GOVERNOR'S OFFICE BUILDING
After the meeting, Minister Kurum inspected the completed governor's office building, which will be opened next month, together with local administrators and ministry officials. Minister Kurum instructed the authorities to quickly complete the landscaping of the governor's office.
"IF YOU DON'T WORK, I WILL DO WHAT IS NECESSARY..."
Minister Kurum then conducted inspections at the Copper Bazaar, Jewelers Bazaar, Sugar Market, and Butchers Bazaar in the city center. Emphasizing that the works at the Copper Bazaar need to be completed quickly, Minister Kurum called the contractors to his side and requested explanations regarding the constructions. Learning that 867 people were working at two construction sites, Minister Kurum stated that this number was insufficient and made the following warnings: "Why not more? Both sites will work 24 hours. You will work, and you will receive your payment. The next day you will get your money. This place will be finished. If you don't work, I will also do what is necessary during that period you are not working. Finish it; we will provide you with whatever support is needed." There will be people at every scaffold. When I come here in a month, the asphalt and everything will be finished.
"DON'T MEET, WORK"
In response to the contractor's words, "We are aware, Minister, we hold meetings every day," Minister Kurum replied, "Don't meet, work. I will especially monitor this place at night. There will be workers at night as well as during the day."
