STRUCK THE BRIDGE PIER
In the incident that occurred around 3:30 PM yesterday on the E-5 in Büyükçekmece, master Hakan Yılmaz, who took his customer's Ferrari for a test drive to perform a procedure, lost control due to the slippery ground and crashed into a bridge pier, rendering the vehicle unusable.
"WE ARE COMPENSATING FOR OUR CUSTOMER'S INCONVENIENCE"
Master Hakan Yılmaz, who shared the details of the accident involving the approximately 17 million lira Ferrari with İhlas News Agency, stated, "Our vehicle came to us with complaints of lower diffuser drop and wind noise. After installing the diffuser for our customer, we needed to go out for a test drive. Because these vehicles do not have window frames, we adjust accordingly when we hear wind noise during the drive. We went out for a test, and while normally going at 80 kilometers per hour, we suddenly accelerated, and there was also a slippery condition on the ground. We lost control and crashed into an overpass pole. We are compensating for our customer's inconvenience. The vehicle does not have insurance. Therefore, we will take responsibility. We will not inconvenience our customer in any way. Thank God, we are fine," he said.
"IT IS NORMAL FOR US TO GO OUT FOR A TEST"
Yılmaz also addressed those who made negative comments about him on social media, saying, "There is a lot of misinformation on social media. It is normal for us to go out for a test. We work with high-end vehicles, and we used to go out for these tests according to our customers' requests. After the test, we move on to the repair phase," he stated.
