In the context of a drug investigation, Fenerbahçe President Sadettin Saran, who was summoned for questioning as a 'suspect' by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, arrived at the courthouse.
A new development has occurred in the drug operation that Turkey is talking about. As part of the operation in which screen faces Mehmet Akif Ersoy and Ela Rumeysa Cebeci were arrested, Fenerbahçe Sports Club President Sadettin Saran was summoned for questioning.
CAME TO ISTANBUL AT MIDNIGHT
As part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a search was conducted at Saran's home last night, and it was learned that the Fenerbahçe President was abroad.
Upon learning of the investigation news, Saran returned to Turkey. He was welcomed by officials and fans when he arrived in Istanbul by private jet in the late hours of the night.
CAME TO THE COURT TO GIVE A STATEMENT
Fenerbahçe President Saran arrived at the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan this morning to give a statement to the prosecutor.
ALLEGATIONS AGAINST SARAN
It has been learned that the allegations against Saadettin Saran are related to providing narcotic substances and facilitating the use of narcotic substances. Additionally, CNN Türk reporter Merve Tokaz stated in a live broadcast that Saran is also accused of "manufacturing and trafficking narcotic substances."
STATEMENT FROM SARAN'S LAWYER
After being summoned for questioning, Saran's lawyer made the following statement: "Due to the news reflected in the media about our President Mr. Sadettin Saran, it has become necessary for me to make the following clarification at his request.
Our President Mr. Sadettin Saran has gone abroad to conduct transfer negotiations and to attend the Olimpia Milano – Fenerbahçe Beko match played last night.
He has been informed about the judicial process that has been reflected in the public. After being informed, he has initiated his return process to our country and will enter Turkey on the first available flight. Necessary updates regarding the matter will continue to be provided by me. We present this information to the public."
