HE WAS SERVING AS THE HEAD OF A MADRASA
The incident occurred while the imam was traveling to Ankleshwar to collect donations for his madrasa in Gangapur, Rajasthan. The imam was serving as the head of the madrasa.
STARTED INSULTING MUSLIMS
The victim's family stated that as soon as the imam boarded the train, a group of people began sitting around him and insulting Muslims. The situation worsened when a woman referred to the imam as "Pakistani." He was violently beaten by two men and a woman, who slapped him repeatedly in the face after the train attendant called the imam to the door.
