LANDSLIDE LEFT THE ROAD UNDER WATER
After the landslide that occurred on March 5, 2025, in the Central Neighborhood of Düz Village, the road connecting the Central and Cayla neighborhoods was submerged, completely cutting off transportation. Despite 9 months having passed since the incident, the road still poses a danger.
So much so that the road, which has no warning signs and is shown as "open" by the navigation, was almost going to become a grave for a person.
NAVIGATION GUIDED, THE END OF THE ROAD LED TO A POND
In the incident that occurred in the evening hours, a driver named Onur Şentürk entered the closed road following the navigation app's guidance. Not realizing that the road had turned into a pond in the darkness of the night, the driver stopped the vehicle at the last moment, avoiding entering the water.
In the incident that was averted from becoming a disaster, fortunately, there was no loss of life or property. However, the absence of warning signs and the fact that the closed road still appears active in navigation systems has drawn significant backlash.
