What happened between the guidance counselor and the physics teacher at a high school in Eskişehir was shocking. Allegedly, the guidance counselor, who is also an administrator, verbally and physically harassed the physics teacher, and finally burned his colleague by throwing hot tea in his face. The teacher, whose face was burned, shared his story, which left everyone astonished...
At Yılmaz Çetintaş Anadolu High School located in the Tepebaşı district of Eskişehir, it was claimed that an incident occurred on February 2 between Serkan Keskinbaş, a physics teacher and also an administrator, who is a father of two, and guidance teacher T.G.
THREW A CUP OF HOT TEA IN HIS FACE
It was alleged that guidance teacher T.G. verbally provoked Keskinbaş and bumped into him. Four days after this incident, on February 6, Serkan Keskinbaş, who went to his office, stated that T.G. approached him from behind and scared him. Angered by this, Keskinbaş asked T.G. to leave his room. It was claimed that T.G. reacted to Keskinbaş, who expressed himself angrily, and cursed at him. After these words, the physics teacher became even more furious and told T.G. to leave the room. At that moment, it was alleged that T.G. threw the cup of hot tea he was holding in his hand towards Serkan Keskinbaş's face. While Keskinbaş, whose face was burned, was taken to the hospital by those at school, it was determined that he had a first-degree burn on his face. It was learned that the teacher, who is still undergoing treatment, has filed a complaint against T.G.
"HE CAME CLOSE AND BUMPED INTO ME"
Serkan Keskinbaş, who claimed to have been pressured by the guidance teacher named T.G. during his duty at Yılmaz Çetintaş Anadolu High School, said, "I was constantly subjected to bullying by our guidance teacher regarding the guidance service at our school. He constantly gave me a nickname in front of students, parents, and my teacher friends. He always humiliated me and belittled me by saying things like 'King, what are you doing?' and 'You never reported to me one day.' I shared this with both him and the school principal, expressing that I was uncomfortable, but he ignored it. He continued to behave this way. I continued with my work. On Monday, February 2, while I was present at the flag ceremony next to the school principal, he came up to me and bumped into me. Again, he belittled me during the ceremony by giving me a nickname, and I was disturbed by this situation and headed towards my room. I went to my room, tried to calm down; then I explained my troubles to the school principal, who said he would make the necessary warnings," he said.
"HE TOUCHED ME AND SCARED ME"
Speaking about the day of the incident, Keskinbaş continued: "Subsequently, on the day of the incident, February 6, I started my work to carry out educational tasks. I shared with the teacher group on WhatsApp for a one-minute moment of silence and earthquake awareness activity at school. I had a promotion exam the next day. While I was preparing my exam entry documents and my belongings, I got lost in thought. My door is always open to all students and parents. Our school's guidance teacher quietly came in without knocking, sneaked up behind me, and touched me while saying 'Böh,' which scared me. Yes, he was joking; then I turned around, and when I saw the guidance teacher, I was very surprised. I was so scared that my heart was in my mouth. I turned and said, 'You go outside.' Is this how you approach someone?"
"HE THREW BOILING TEA AT MY FACE INTENTIONALLY AND SCALDED ME"
Physics teacher Serkan Keskinbaş said, "After that, he cursed at me twice, with words that cannot be repeated. I definitely did not respond to him verbally in the same manner. Then I pushed him away to make him leave. After that, he threw the hot tea in his hand towards my face. He didn't throw the cup. He intentionally threw the boiling tea in the cup at my face and scalded me. The police also came, and photos were taken. There are complete tea stains in my room. He is claiming that it happened during a scuffle. But that's not true. He threw the hot boiling tea at my face with the intent to injure me and target my face. I was very shocked by this situation," he said.
"I SAID 'HELP ME, MY FACE IS BURNED'"
After the incident, teacher Keskinbaş, who was taken under treatment and is currently unable to go to school, said, "Later, he left the room. My friends went to the room. Our English teacher at school and the substitute teachers came. I told them: 'Help me, my face is burned.' I immediately washed my face with cold water and called the school principal. He said, 'I'll be there in a minute.' He came immediately and took me to the hospital. I had first-degree burns on my forehead, under my eyelids, and on my eyebrow. He also said there was slight swelling in my eye. But he said, 'Thank God you closed your eyelids; there was no damage.' It was said that there would be no permanent damage or scars. During this time, my family, my children, and my mother were very upset and devastated. I want to continue my duty from where I left off. Because I am an administrator who loves my country very much and enjoys serving young people," he said.
