Police teams entered the illegal gambling venue in Eskişehir by splitting the iron door in half with a spiral saw, capturing suspects trying to escape through the roof in an operation reminiscent of movie scenes. A total of 498,972 TL in fines was imposed on 43 people who were gambling.
The teams of the Moral Bureau of the Eskişehir Provincial Police Department received a tip-off about illegal gambling taking place in a building located in the İstiklal Neighborhood of the Odunpazarı district.
THE DOOR WAS CUT IN HALF WITH A SPIRAL SAW
Upon receiving the tip-off, the teams that went to the address and tried to enter the building encountered a reinforced iron door. After long efforts, the police entered the building by cutting the door in half with a spiral saw.
THEY WERE CAUGHT WHILE TRYING TO ESCAPE FROM THE ROOF
The suspects, who installed a camera system at the entrance of the building, were detected by the teams monitoring the surroundings through the camera. During the search of the building, the teams caught 2 individuals trying to escape to the roof of the adjacent building with a suitcase. It was understood that the suitcase contained a bingo machine used for gambling.
A TOTAL OF 43 PEOPLE FINED 498,972 TL
A total of 498,972 TL in fines was imposed on 43 individuals found to be gambling in the building, while legal action was taken against 3 suspects.
