Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş responded to the statements of the party leader Özgür Özel, who said "a trust from Mansur President," while the Ankara Deputy Adnan Beker, who joined the CHP, was being presented with a badge. Yavaş said, "I learned about it from the press just a day before. I had no knowledge of the transfer. I don't know why our party leader referred to it as a trust. Because in politics, a person can only vouch for themselves."
The transfer of Ankara Deputy Adnan Beker, who announced that he voted for Tayyip Erdoğan instead of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in the presidential election, has stirred up the CHP. While many objections have been raised from within the party, Beker's refusal to answer a journalist's question, "Will you vote for CHP or İmamoğlu this time?" has further fueled the discussions.
YAVAŞ'S STATEMENT THAT WILL PUT ÖZEL IN A DIFFICULT POSITION
Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş also made a noteworthy statement regarding Adnan Beker's joining the CHP. When asked about CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's words while pinning a badge on Beker, "It is Mansur President's trust," Yavaş stated that he had no involvement in the process.
"I READ ABOUT ADNAN BEKER'S TRANSFER IN THE NEWSPAPERS"
Yavaş said: "I learned about it from the press a day before. Of course, we know each other. He was the Group Chairman of the İYİ Party in Ankara Metropolitan. We occasionally meet, but I had no knowledge of his transfer. I read about it in the newspapers a day before, and then I saw that he was pinned a badge. Frankly, I had no other involvement. I don't know why our Chairman entrusted it that way. Because in politics, a person can only vouch for themselves."
