At the end of the trial related to the land dispute that occurred 7 months ago in Bartın, which resulted in the deaths of 3 people, the parties involved clashed with each other. The fight was prevented from escalating with the intervention of the police.
On May 17, 2025, in the Demirciler neighborhood of Kozcağız, Bartın, an incident occurred where Mehmet D. (65) shot and killed his nephew Erhan Demirci, his sister Havva Demirci (50), and his brother-in-law Abdullah Demirci (55) with a shotgun due to a dispute over land sharing and the desire to demolish a wall on the disputed land.
After the incident, Mehmet D. and his wife Behice D. were captured by the gendarmerie and were arrested and sent to prison.

During the second hearing at the Bartın 2nd High Criminal Court, police teams took extensive security measures. A dispute broke out between the defendant and the relatives of the victim, who exchanged words outside the courthouse.
