The wife of Turkish activist Şuayb Ordu, Sümeyra Akdeniz Ordu, who was detained by Israeli forces on the sailing boat named Madleen in international waters, was a guest on tv100's Main News with Kübra Par.
"I ALWAYS THOUGHT OF HIM"
In her statement, Ordu said, "Unfortunately, after they were kidnapped by Israeli soldiers, I couldn't communicate directly with Şuayb. But the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was closely involved. They conveyed that he is well and that I shouldn't worry, as he sent his regards. I always thought of him."
"THEY WERE LEFT HUNGRY FOR HOURS"
I spoke with one of our friends who was released. For example, he mentioned that the photos and videos showing them being given bread and water were done entirely under duress. He said they were left hungry for hours and that when they arrived, they faced 200 Israeli soldiers without having eaten their meals.
"12 ACTIVISTS WERE MET BY 200 SOLDIERS"
12 activists were met by 200 soldiers. They were taken into cells, both women and men. However, 2 of them were subjected to harsher treatment. So at this point, I have joy, hopefully my husband will come to Berlin tomorrow, but it is a bittersweet joy. Our happiness will increase when everyone safely returns home. Our joy will be complete when we break the blockade.
HE WILL BE RELEASED TOMORROW
In a statement made by sources from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated, "It is anticipated that our citizen Şuayb Ordu, who was detained by Israeli forces on the ship named Madleen, will be released tomorrow and will leave Israel."
