9 VEHICLES STRANDED IN SNOW
Due to the blizzard affecting the group road of Çengilli village in the Kağızman district, 9 vehicles, including 1 passenger minibus, became stranded in the snow, and the passengers were trapped. As visibility decreased and snow depth increased, the drivers of the vehicles, unable to proceed, reported the situation to the Provincial Special Administration teams and requested assistance. The Provincial Special Administration snow fighting teams dispatched to the region continued their snow removal efforts under the cold and obstructive blizzard for a long time and reached the 9 stranded vehicles. While the 30 people in the vehicles were evacuated to a safe area, it was learned that the health conditions of the citizens were good.
SCHOOLS CLOSED IN AĞRI
On the other hand, due to snowfall, schools in Ağrı were closed today. The statement from the Ağrı Governorship is as follows: "Considering the data from the Meteorology 16th Regional Directorate's Forecasting and Early Warning Center; due to the expected snowfall throughout our province on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, and taking into account the potential disruptions in transportation and the risk of icing that may occur, education and teaching have been suspended for 1 (one) day for all village schools in our province and for our students receiving education under the transportation education system, as well as for the teachers working in village schools on Tuesday, February 10, 2026."
