During the excavation for a site construction in the İnegöl district of Bursa, burial remains and human bones, which are reported to be historical artifacts, were discovered. Samples were taken from the artifacts for examination.
Excavation work for a site construction was initiated in the rural Yeniceköy neighborhood of İnegöl district in Bursa in the morning hours.
GRAVE FRAGMENTS AND HUMAN BONES FOUND
While the operator of the contracting company was excavating with a construction machine, he saw graves and jars. The excavation was halted, and the gendarmerie teams were notified. The gendarmerie teams that arrived at the construction site took security measures in the area. Teams from the Bursa Archaeology Museum Directorate were also sent to the region. In the examination conducted, grave fragments and human bones, which are stated to be historical artifacts, were found.
SAMPLES TAKEN FOR EXAMINATION
While samples were taken from the artifacts for examination, it was reported that the Yeniceköy neighborhood where the construction is taking place is an Armenian settlement area.
