Turkey, experiencing winter conditions in mid-April, is transitioning to spring weather with the new week. Warming starting from the west is expected to spread throughout the country in a short time. Air temperatures are expected to rise to 27 degrees.

According to the latest assessments of the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM), today the air temperatures across the country remain below seasonal norms. Rain is expected in the eastern part of Central Anatolia, the Central and Eastern Black Sea regions, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, as well as in the areas of Edirne, Kırklareli, Kastamonu, Kahramanmaraş, Osmaniye, Hatay, Ankara, and Çankırı. Additionally, rain will also be seen in the northern parts of Mersin and Adana.

The rains will mostly be effective in the form of downpours. However, snowfall is expected in the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea, the northern part of Eastern Anatolia, and in the areas of Çankırı, Yozgat, Sivas, Çorum, and Erzincan.

YELLOW CODE WARNING FOR 13 PROVINCES

MGM has issued a yellow code warning for 13 provinces. Strong rain mixed with snow and snow is expected in Ağrı, Bingöl, Bitlis, Diyarbakır, Erzurum, Hakkari, Kars, Muş, Van, Batman, Şırnak, and Ardahan. In Siirt, strong downpours will be effective.
