While signing a series of presidential orders, Trump stated in comments to reporters that the decision ultimately belongs to Israel. However, he warned that "there will be hell to pay" if the remaining hostages are not released, adding that he fears many of them may be dead. Trump also said, "I am speaking for myself. Israel can override this."
