As in the rest of the world, February 14th Valentine's Day is a scene for romantic celebrations of couples in Turkey; florists, jewelers, and restaurants are experiencing a surge in activity. Florists are working long hours. Prices vary depending on the type of product. The price of a single rose ranges from 100 to 150 TL, while bouquet prices start at an average of 750 TL and can go up to 7,000 TL.

Flower shops have completed their preparations for Valentine's Day on February 14th. A single rose costs between 100-150 TL, while bouquets start from 750 TL and can go up to 7,000 TL. Due to Valentine's Day, flower shops began waiting for their customers from the early hours of the morning. Storefronts across the city are decorated with red roses and specially designed gifts.

"PREPARATIONS ARE COMPLETE, WE ARE WAITING FOR CUSTOMERS"

In addition to flowers, chocolate bouquets, teddy bear gifts, balloons, and various gift items have also taken their place on the shelves. Shopkeepers expect a rush, especially in the evening hours.

Abdullah Akgül, who sells flowers, stated that they are very busy and that citizens tend to leave it until the last day. Akgül said, "We have prepared all the flowers. Right now, customers are taking the flowers they like and leaving. Normally, we prepared 50 to 70 bouquets. For Valentine's Day, we prepared 200 bouquets. All our preparations are complete, and we are waiting for our customers."

PRICES ARE SKY-HIGH

Akgül noted that the most popular products are classic rose bouquets, saying, "We have 41 roses in a vase, and there is good interest in our mixed bouquets of tulips, roses, and lilies.

Our citizens are not just buying flowers. We have teddy bear chocolates, box roses, lilies, daffodils, heart-shaped balloons, and many other different gifts ready for today. This year is going better and more beautifully compared to previous years. Hopefully, it continues like this. Last year, we sold roses for 100 TL. This year, we are also selling them for 100 TL. We haven't increased prices, which has naturally reflected on our business. Bouquet prices start from 750 TL and go up to 7,000 TL," he said.
