Denizlispor, a 59-year-old club that has been relegated to the amateur league and received a 12-point deduction penalty from FIFA, is facing the issue of its training ground drying up due to a water shortage. The club, which has been unable to overcome financial and management crises, is using the municipality's water tank to irrigate the grass on the field. However, since the tank is located in another province, complete irrigation is not possible.
For the first time in its 59-year history, Denizlispor has been relegated to the amateur league. Following a 12-point deduction imposed by FIFA due to debts owed to foreign players, the training ground is now starting to dry up due to a water shortage.
Denizlispor, which was penalized with a 12-point deduction by FIFA due to debts to former players Adam Stachowiak and Marvin Bakalorz during its Super League period, will start the amateur league with -12 points. The club, which has been unable to overcome financial and management crises, is now facing a water problem. The management is trying to keep things going with transported water.
THE GRASS HAS STARTED TO DRY
Due to the inability to irrigate at the Haluk Ulusoy Facilities, the grass on the field has dried to a certain extent, leaving the training ground in a deplorable state.
It has been reported that there is no water left in the well, and previously, water was supplied to the pool using the municipality's water tanker for irrigation. However, since the municipality's tanker is in another province, the facility staff has been struggling to keep the grass green with a garden hose due to the inability to fully irrigate. It has been stated that this irrigation is insufficient.
"WE CAN'T EVEN SOLVE THE IRRIGATION ISSUE"
Denizlispor President Fatih Aslan Kazancı reacted to this situation, stating, "We are trying to keep things going with transported water. This is all we can do when there are no resources. They are not taking care of the city's value. We can't even solve the irrigation issue. We can't even provide water. No one is interested. Is Denizlispor being systematically destroyed? If that's the case, we want to know, they should tell us. We urgently expect help from those managing the city for at least the irrigation of the facility."
