Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek announced during the sponsorship ceremony that he will run for president in the new season; he emphasized that the club is progressing resolutely towards its goals.
Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek made important statements regarding the agenda during the sponsorship agreement he attended with Deputy Chairman of Sportif AŞ Abdullah Kavukcu. Özbek clearly stated his candidacy for the presidency in the upcoming election process.
"GALATASARAY CHASES ITS DREAMS"
Emphasizing that Galatasaray has a deep-rooted vision, Özbek stated that the club leads Turkey not only in football but also in Olympic sports.
In response to a question about the victory against Juventus, Özbek said, "Everything starts with a dream. I had dreams 9 years and 8 days ago. We had goals not only in terms of sports success but also in terms of structure and facilities. I am very happy to see those dreams coming true one by one today."
Addressing the fluctuations during the season, Özbek stated, "We do not give up on a match. We continue with the same seriousness in the league, cup, and Europe. We are on a tough road, but we will not deviate from our goals."
"I AM A CANDIDATE FOR THE PRESIDENCY"
Speaking about the election process, Özbek said, "It is early for the election, but yes, I am a candidate. We will announce our list when the time comes," revealing his intention to run for president again.
TRANSFER MESSAGE FROM KAVUKCU
Deputy Chairman of Sportif AŞ Abdullah Kavukcu stated that the team has 12 critical matches ahead, saying, "We defeated Juventus with an important score. We went through a difficult process during the transfer period, but we made the right moves. We have purchase options, and we make decisions together with our president and coach."
Addressing transfer rumors, Kavukcu stated, "New names are being written every day. We have 12 matches, please let’s not talk about transfers. Our focus right now is on the fight on the field."
