It has been announced that 500 people have been detained in Iran since the start of attacks by the US and Israel, accused of "spying against the country for the enemy and anti-Iranian media."

Since the beginning of the attacks by the USA and Israel in Iran, 500 people have been detained on charges of espionage. The General Director of Security stated that some of those detained are accused of providing intelligence about targets in connection with militant groups.

According to the semi-official Tasnim News Agency, Iran's General Director of Security, Ahmad Reza Radan, made a statement regarding the recent detention operations carried out on charges of "espionage." Radan stated that since the beginning of the attacks by the USA and Israel on Iran, 500 people have been detained, adding, "Of these, 250 are individuals connected to militant groups who provided intelligence about targets to Iran International television and attempted to disrupt public order."

Radan described those detained as "spies," claiming that these individuals provided information to "the enemy and anti-Iranian media."

IRAN INTERNATIONAL TELEVISION

The Tehran administration declared Iran International television a "terrorist organization" in 2022, citing that it had disseminated disinformation regarding "anti-regime protests in the country" and encouraged demonstrators who organized violent actions, also announcing that the assets of its employees in the country would be confiscated.
