GREAT PANIC OCCURRED ON THE PLANE
The bomb threat on the SV278 flight, an Airbus A321 belonging to Saudia Airlines, which was completing its final preparations for departure from Istanbul Airport to Jeddah, caused panic on the plane. Upon a passenger's statement that 'there is a bomb on the plane', the cabin crew informed the captain. Subsequently, the captain contacted the air traffic controller, and police teams were called to the aircraft regarding the situation.
FLIGHT WAS DELAYED
While the cabin and cargo area of the aircraft were thoroughly searched with a bomb detection dog, the luggage was re-checked with a mobile X-Ray device. The passenger who made the report was removed from the plane by police teams, and after the searches, it was determined that the report was false. The flight was delayed.
