The President of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Numan Kurtulmuş, who met with the editors-in-chief of media organizations in Istanbul, responded to a question about whether the 'Terror-Free Turkey' commission would visit İmralı by saying, "Such a step can be taken in terms of completing the process. However, the decision will be made by our commission in the Parliament. If the commission makes such a decision, actions will be taken accordingly."

Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) Numan Kurtulmuş met with the editors-in-chief of media organizations in Istanbul.
"NONE OF THOSE WHO EXPRESSED THEIR OPINIONS IN THE COMMISSION SAID 'WE DO NOT WANT THIS PROCESS'"
After his speech here, Kurtulmuş answered questions, stating that the National Solidarity Brotherhood and Democracy Commission, which held its 16th meeting in the Assembly, has taken on an important and historic mission in Turkey. Kurtulmuş said, "As of today, it has completed its 16th meeting and has performed an important function. From now on, it is approaching the final point." Kurtulmuş noted: "I can say this very comfortably. Although there are very different opinions, none of those who came here and expressed their opinions in the commission said that we do not want this process or that this process should not happen. Everyone enthusiastically put forward important ideas for this issue to be resolved as soon as possible."
GREEN LIGHT FOR THE COMMISSION MEMBERS TO GO TO İMRALI: SUCH A STEP CAN BE TAKEN
Speaker Kurtulmuş, regarding the commission's visit to İmralı, which has been discussed in recent days, said, "Such a step can be taken for the completion of the process." Stating that the decision will be made by the commission, Kurtulmuş said, "My personal opinion is not important here. Various political parties have expressed their positive opinions on this matter, and they are doing so publicly. If the commission makes such a decision, actions will be taken accordingly."
INFORMATION FROM FIDAN AND KALIN
Kurtulmuş stated that Minister of National Defense Hakan Fidan and MIT President İbrahim Kalın will attend the meeting to be held this week: "God willing, this Thursday, our Minister of Interior, our Minister of National Defense, and our President of the National Intelligence Organization will come and explain what happened between the presentation they made at the beginning and today, what steps were taken."
"POSTPONED DUE TO TECHNICAL REASONS"
Chairman Kurtulmuş stated that the postponement of the 17th meeting, where voting for the İmralı visit is expected, is entirely due to technical reasons. Kurtulmuş said, "We did not hold the meeting because one of our minister friends will be abroad. Next week, we will listen to our Minister of Interior, our Minister of National Defense, and our President of the National Intelligence Organization. I see this as the last listening phase. If there are any additional new information, the commission will be informed again. Therefore, this postponement has been made entirely for technical reasons."
"THIS IS NOT A PEACE PROCESS"
Stating that the process is related to the terrorist organization's laying down arms, Kurtulmuş said, "In Turkey, this process is not actually a peace process between Turks and Kurds, but rather a process that begins with the declaration of the terrorist organization, which is fighting against the state, to lay down its arms, and the parliament's careful monitoring of this process. Therefore, I want to emphasize that almost everyone has highlighted the brotherhood of Turks and Kurds and the unity and solidarity among the people living in this country; this was an extremely important issue."
"THERE IS NO BARGAINING"
Noting that there is no bargaining in the process, Numan Kurtulmuş stated, "There is no bargaining between the organization and the state in any way, and there has not been until today. We already know from the statements made to the public that the organization has not come up with maximalist demands. For example, we know that demands such as federation, the establishment of certain privileges, or the request for another language to be an official language alongside Turkish have not been raised. We are not at a point where we can say that all steps have been completed, but especially with the statement on October 26, which indicates that no terrorist activities will be carried out within the borders of Turkey, the issue has reached a new phase, a new stage," he said.
"THOSE WHO FEAR IRON SHOULD NOT GET ON THE TRAIN"
Stating that a terror-free Turkey process is an important gain for Turkey, Kurtulmuş also made some warnings: "Let me say this. Those who fear iron should not get on the train. This is Turkey's most difficult issue. Of course, what everyone says here will shape not only their present but also their entire future. Politics may have different opinions regarding a solution around a topic for the first time, but politics is standing at a common point for this problem to be solved, which is extremely valuable. We know very well that during past attempts at solutions, politics turned this issue into a political maneuvering area from the very beginning. Therefore, we need to see these things."
LEGAL REGULATIONS: THESE DETERMINATIONS MUST BE MADE
Speaker of the Assembly Numan Kurtulmuş stated that legal regulations regarding the process could be carried out after various criteria are met. Kurtulmuş continued his remarks as follows: "Now, the determination and certification that the organization has really laid down its arms and has dissolved itself is the most critical point of the next stage. In other words, we are not in a position to do this as the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. After our institutions related to national security, primarily the National Intelligence Organization and the Ministry of National Defense, make this determination by saying that the organization has dissolved itself and that serious disarmament has been achieved in the field, it will be possible for the Grand National Assembly of Turkey to carry out certain legal regulations required by the issue."
"IF MGK ANNOUNCES, A SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE WILL BE PASSED"
Stating that the determinations of the National Security Council (MGK) regarding the PKK's laying down arms are important, Kurtulmuş said, "This issue is addressed in the National Security Council, which is Turkey's highest security board, and if the National Security Council makes these determinations and announces them, a very important milestone will be passed here."

"THOSE SLOGANS ARE PROVOCATIONS"
Numan Kurtulmuş stated regarding the Abdullah Öcalan slogans chanted in the Parliament, "The chanting of those slogans in the Parliament, as well as in Diyarbakır and other places, is the manifestation of actions that truly disturb the overwhelming majority of the nation; I say openly, it is a provocation."
"UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF FETÖ MEMBERS"
When asked about the difference between the "solution process" and the "terrorism process in Turkey," Kurtulmuş replied, "As someone who remembers and knows almost every day of the previous process, I can say that there are very significant differences. First of all, I regret to express that during that period, almost all of the institutions that carried out this process on behalf of the state were under the management of FETÖ members; they were under their influence."
