A woman stranded unconscious in the Belgon Plateau of Şırnak's Beytüşşebap district was rescued from her location and evacuated to a safe area by a helicopter belonging to the Air Forces Command, through the coordinated efforts of AFAD, gendarmerie, health, and fire brigade teams.
TEAMS COULD NOT PROGRESS THROUGH ROUGH TERRAIN
According to the information obtained, upon the report of a woman stranded unconscious in the Belgon Plateau of the Bölücek village rural area in the Beytüşşebap district, the Şırnak 112 Emergency Call Center was activated. Following the report, AFAD, gendarmerie, health, and fire brigade teams were swiftly dispatched to the region. In the initial examination by the teams, it was determined that evacuation by ground teams could not be carried out due to the rugged terrain of the area where the woman was located and the lack of land access.
AIR FORCES COMMAND STEPPED IN
Thereupon, under the coordination of the Şırnak Governorship, a helicopter equipped with search and rescue capabilities was requested from the Air Forces Command. The helicopter, which reached the region in a short time, despite challenging terrain conditions, performed a precise maneuver, lifting the unconscious woman from her location and transporting her to a safe area.
TAKEN TO HOSPITAL
The woman, handed over to health teams, was taken to the hospital by ambulance after initial intervention at the scene. The rescue operation, successfully completed thanks to the coordinated work of the teams competing against time in the challenging geography, prevented a potential disaster. It was learned that the woman's health condition will be clarified after detailed examinations.
Authorities called on citizens, especially those going to high-altitude plateaus during the summer months, to be cautious against possible health issues and emergencies, and to inform their relatives about the region they are in.
