The U.S. Department of State announced that a reward of $10 million will be given to those who provide information about certain high-ranking officials, including Iran's new leader Mojtaba Khamenei.
The American administration, which previously classified the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a "foreign terrorist organization," made a post on the social media platform of the US-based company X under the State Department's Rewards for Justice Program.
The statement included the phrases, "Report to us. The information you provide may help you win a reward and benefit from relocation opportunities."
10 MILLION DOLLARS FOR INFORMATION ON HAMANEY AND OTHER OFFICIALS
The photos shared in the statement showed Iran's new leader Mojtaba Hamaney, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani, Deputy Head of the Leadership Office Ali Asghar Hojjati, Leadership advisor Yahya Rahim Safavi, Interior Minister Iskender Momeni, and Intelligence Minister Ismail Khatib.
The statement indicated that those providing information about these individuals would be awarded up to 10 million dollars as a "reward," stating that these individuals "command and direct various elements of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps worldwide."
US-ISRAEL'S ATTACKS ON IRAN
While negotiations continued between Tehran and Washington, Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28.
Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel.
In the US-Israel attacks, many high-ranking officials were killed, including Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Hamaney.
According to Iranian officials, the death toll from the US-Israel attacks exceeded 1,348, and the number of injured surpassed 17,000.
