Fenerbahçe President Sadettin Saran delivered important messages at his first High Advisory Board meeting as president. Saran called out to Aziz Yıldırım, saying, "I wish you hadn't left, please come to the club, let's discuss everything at the table."
Fenerbahçe President Sadettin Saran attended the first High Advisory Board Meeting of his presidency. The meeting, held at the Faruk Ilgaz Facilities in Kalamış, was also attended by former presidents Ali Koç and Aziz Yıldırım. In his opening speech, Saran emphasized his desire to put an end to past discussions by conveying a message of unity and solidarity.
"PAST DISCUSSIONS DO NOT SUIT FENERBAHÇE"
The most striking moment of the meeting was Saran's direct call to Aziz Yıldırım. Saran said, "This is the first High Advisory Board I am attending as President... I am proud to be with you, and there is a bit of excitement. I would like to thank President Ali and his valuable team once again. Past discussions do not suit Fenerbahçe! Statements targeting neither President Ali nor President Aziz will not take the club a step forward. I wish Aziz Yıldırım had not left... My call to Mr. Yıldırım is; please come to the club. All agreements and documents are there. If you have any questions, let’s discuss them at the table, without wearing each other down," he said.
"FENERBAHÇE'S POTENTIAL IS FAR BEYOND WHAT IS VISIBLE"
Saran evaluated the current situation of the club and stated the magnitude of their goals, saying, "We want to make Fenerbahçe a brand associated with success, trust, and stability. The club's potential is far beyond what is visible today. We want to win the championship it deserves and make it permanent. We have started to implement our election promises. Everything is progressing in a planned, organized, and transparent manner. The visible result of this effort will be the outcomes in football," he emphasized.
"SENDING TEDESCO AWAY WOULD HAVE BEEN THE EASIEST OPTION"
Speaking about the situation of the football team, Saran gave a message of confidence for head coach Domenico Tedesco. Saran said, "No matter the pressure, we tried to remain calm regarding the football team. The election process had created confusion. From day one, I said we needed to lift the psychology of this team. Sending Tedesco away would have been the easiest option. We chose stability. We make decisions based on the interests of the team, not under social media pressure. We are after permanent solutions, not short-term applause," he said.
"THIS IS NOT AN ACCUSATION, IT IS A DETERMINATION"
Saran stated, "The team did not start the season with proper preparation; this is not an accusation, it is a determination. We have implemented a program to close the gap. The national break has been a turning point for us. We are conducting a planned process for the players to recover physically and mentally. I believe this team will rise again," he said.
"THE DECISION TO EXCLUDE FROM THE SQUAD IS NOT A PUNISHMENT, BUT A REMINDER"
At the end of the meeting, President Saran also made a statement regarding disciplinary decisions, saying, "We made two decisions to exclude from the squad, but this is not a punishment, it is a reminder. It is not to exclude discipline, but to stay on the same line. Everything is discussed and resolved within the team; only belief is reflected outside. We came not to destroy, but to correct. We trust our coach and the team," he expressed.
