Chinese car manufacturer BYD has announced the largest recall decision in its history. However, BYD Turkey stated that this recall does not affect the models sold in Turkey. The recall campaign includes the Tang hybrid series and Yuan Pro models sold in the domestic Chinese market between 2015 and 2022.

After the Chinese automotive giant BYD announced its largest recall decision in history, BYD Turkey issued a statement regarding the matter. The company emphasized that the recall in question is not related to the models sold in Turkey.

In its statement, BYD Turkey said, "It has become necessary to inform the public regarding the news that appeared in some media today. Like many manufacturers, BYD also occasionally conducts recall campaigns to continuously improve its vehicles and elevate the user experience to the highest level. The ability to use a sold vehicle without any faults is the production philosophy of BYD. The recall in question only covers certain Tang hybrid series and Yuan Pro models produced between 2015 and 2022 that were sold in the Chinese domestic market. The recall campaign announced by BYD in China does not include any models sold in Turkey."

BATTERY RISK IN 115 THOUSAND VEHICLES

BYD had decided to recall more than 115,000 Tang series and Yuan Pro model vehicles produced in China between 2015 and 2022 due to battery-related safety risks and design flaws.

With this decision, the company has recalled a total of more than 200,000 vehicles in the past year.
