A woman who reacted to the demand for payment in cash and without an invoice for treatment at a private hospital in Gaziosmanpaşa claimed that she was assaulted by hospital staff. The footage of the incident recorded by the woman with her mobile phone and shared on social media quickly garnered significant attention. Istanbul Provincial Health Director Abdullah Emre Güner announced that an immediate investigation and inquiry had been initiated regarding the incident.

In a statement made on his social media account, Istanbul Provincial Health Director Abdullah Emre Güner said, "Due to the news regarding the allegations of violence and irregularities that occurred at a private hospital in Gaziosmanpaşa, which have been reported by some media outlets and social media platforms, it has become necessary to make a statement to properly inform the public. According to the allegation, during a dispute over the demand for payment in cash and without an invoice from a citizen who was at the hospital for an aesthetic procedure, it has been reported that there was a physical assault on the citizen. An immediate investigation and inquiry process has been initiated by our Directorate regarding the incident. Our teams are currently conducting inspection activities at the relevant hospital. All records, camera footage, and witness statements related to the allegations will be meticulously evaluated. Violence, unethical practices, or irregularities are unacceptable in any environment where health services are provided. Our efforts will continue with sensitivity until the incident is clarified in all aspects. Respectfully announced to the public."
