During excavation work at the foundation of a house in Gia Lai province, Vietnam, a mass grave containing the remains of 32 soldiers was discovered. Authorities confirmed that these remains belong to Vietnamese soldiers but stated that it has not been determined in which war they were killed.

According to the Vietnam VN Express news site, the homeowner who found numerous bone fragments during excavation work at the foundation of a house in Gia Lai province contacted the authorities. The Gia Lai provincial military command confirmed that the 32 human remains found in the mass grave belong to Vietnamese soldiers, but stated that it has not yet been determined in which war the soldiers were killed.

EXCAVATION WORK IN THE AREA HAS BEEN EXPANDED

The investigation team sent to the area found not only bone remains at the foundation of the house but also items from the war period, such as buttons, canteens, rubber shoe soles, and bullets. The investigation team has expanded the excavation work being carried out in the area.
