Two soldiers lost their lives when a T-260B aircraft belonging to the Italian Air Force crashed near Sabuadia. Prime Minister Meloni and Foreign Minister Tajani expressed their condolences for the deceased soldiers.
A T-260B single-engine aircraft belonging to the Italian Air Force crashed near Sabuadia, resulting in the deaths of 2 soldiers on board. According to a report by the Italian ANSA agency, the T-260B aircraft of the Italian Air Force crashed this morning in Circeo National Park, located 100 kilometers south of the capital Rome.
The T-260B aircraft, belonging to the 70th Squadron in Latina, was on a training flight.
BODIES OF TWO SOLDIERS RECOVERED
Following the crash, search efforts led to the discovery of the aircraft engulfed in flames, and the bodies of the two soldiers were recovered. After the incident, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed her deepest condolences on the social media platform of the US-based X company, stating, "I extend my deepest condolences for the accident that occurred due to the crash of an Italian Air Force aircraft near Circeo National Park. My condolences and the government's sympathies go to the families of the victims, the Italian Air Force, and the entire Ministry of Defense."
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani also expressed his deep sorrow for the 2 soldiers who lost their lives in the tragic accident on his account on the social media platform of the US-based X company, extending his condolences to their families.
