The government has taken action for internet infrastructure. Due to concerns about each operator providing their infrastructure only to their own subscribers, a decision was made to consolidate all infrastructures under a single company.
The government has taken action regarding the fiber infrastructure. In Turkey, which ranks 26th among 38 OECD countries in terms of fiber internet infrastructure, internet speeds have not even come close to the desired level. Even in major cities, the fiber infrastructure is not seen at a sufficient level, while in other cities, it is almost nonexistent.
The fact that only the subscribers of the companies that have created the fiber infrastructures are using them is causing problems.
THE MINISTRY HAS TAKEN A STEP
In a statement made in October, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek mentioned the inadequacy of the fiber infrastructure and announced that they were working on a new project.

According to a report by Reuters, it was stated that the government plans to consolidate the infrastructures of all operators under a single company without making a distinction between firms.
