A quick response from the DEM Party to Bahçeli's call: We will apply to go to Imralı.

The leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Devlet Bahçeli, called for "face-to-face contact between İmralı and the DEM group" during his party's group meeting. In response, Tuncer Bakırhan, Co-Chair of the DEM Party, quickly replied. Speaking at the parliamentary group meeting, Bakırhan stated, "We will apply to go to İmralı."

The leader of the MHP, Devlet Bahçeli, reiterated his call for the terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan during his party's group meeting today.

Bahçeli stated, "Separating the Kurd from the Turk is as impossible and absurd as separating the world from the solar system. Our future is one; we must unite and completely remove terrorism from our agenda by blending our hearts together. Those who are brewing in Kandil must make a decision. Are you in favor of the separatist organizations or are you in favor of a shared destiny? The MHP stands behind every word it says. We stand behind what we said on October 22. There must be face-to-face contact between İmralı and the DEM group," he expressed.

In response to MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli's call for "face-to-face contact with İmralı," the DEM Party did not delay in replying. DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan, who made evaluations regarding the agenda during his party's group meeting, stated, "It was discussed today, even before us in the MHP group. But rest assured, we had already made our preparations.

It seems that the rational approach towards a solution sometimes works the same way. Together with our co-chair Tülay, we will apply to the Ministry of Justice today to meet with Mr. Abdullah Öcalan in İmralı," he stated.
