Two buildings in Beyoğlu were evacuated as a precaution due to the collapse of the retaining wall in front of them. Damage assessment work has begun in the two sealed buildings.
There were lively hours in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul.
RETAINING WALL COLLAPSED
The retaining wall in front of two buildings, each with 4 floors and a total of 12 apartments, located in the Örnektepe neighborhood collapsed due to the rain. Upon notification, police, fire brigade, AFAD, İSKİ, and natural gas teams were sent to the area.
TWO BUILDINGS EVACUATED AND SEALED
While electricity, water, and natural gas were cut off in both buildings, the residents were evacuated as a precaution. It was learned that those living in the buildings would be placed in hotels by the municipality. Damage assessment work has started in the two sealed buildings.
