The Disinformation Combat Center denied the claim published by a foreign media organization that the MIT requested Syrian President Bashar to increase his protection from British intelligence MI6.
The Communications Presidency's Disinformation Combat Center (DMM) stated, "It is not true that MIT requested any protection for the Syrian President from MI6 or asked for such a role to be taken on."
"THE MI6 CLAIM IS NOT TRUE"
In a statement made through DMM's social media account, it was stated: "The news published today in a foreign news agency, 'Turkey asked the British MI6 to increase protection for Syrian President Bashar,' does not reflect the truth.
The National Intelligence Organization (MIT) is engaged in effective cooperation in the fight against terrorism, both with the international intelligence community and with the security units of our neighbor Syria. Recent successful operations carried out against the ISIS terrorist organization in cooperation with Syrian authorities are among the most current examples of this collaboration.
It is not true that MIT requested any protection for the Syrian President from MI6 or asked for such a role to be taken on, as claimed in the news. It is strongly requested that the public does not give credence to baseless claims, shares, and content.
