On Valentine's Day, millions of couples express their love through romantic organizations and special events. However, there are those who think otherwise. According to a study, 63.6% of the society in Turkey sees Valentine's Day more as a commercial day, and 15.4% report feeling financial pressure. The percentage of those who say expectations lead to disappointment is 40.8%, while 39.8% indicate that this situation occurs sometimes.

SOME DO NOT CELEBRATE VALENTINE'S DAY AT ALL
According to the research, 31.6% of participants stated that they do not feel financial pressure during this process, while 29.1% feel some pressure, and 15.4% express that they experience serious pressure.
A segment of 23.9% indicates that they do not celebrate Valentine's Day at all.
The data from the Valentine's Day research revealed that the vast majority of society does not see expensive gifts as a sign of love.
78.3% of participants believe that receiving an expensive gift on Valentine's Day is not a sign of love.
The proportion of those who somewhat agree with this view is 17.9%, while only 3.8% say that receiving an expensive gift is a sign of love.
THE IMPACT OF SOCIAL MEDIA IS SIGNIFICANT
The impact of social media on our lives was also not overlooked in the research. The proportion of those who say that the "perfect Valentine's Day" content shared on social media does not affect them is 51.7%, while 48.3% are in the affected group.
Among those affected, 35.4% say they are somewhat affected, while 12.9% express that they are affected.
The research also asked whether Valentine's Day expectations create disappointment in relationships.
The proportion of those who say expectations create disappointment is 40.8%, while 39.8% indicate that this situation occurs sometimes. The proportion of those who believe it does not lead to disappointment remains at 19.4%.
