A municipal worker on duty in the Çal district of Denizli lost his life in a tragic workplace accident. Ahmet Temiz, who worked in the Çal Municipality's Department of Cleaning Affairs, was seriously injured after getting caught in the compaction mechanism of a garbage truck during waste unloading. Temiz was taken to the hospital, where he passed away.
A workplace accident occurred in the Çal district of Denizli, resulting in the death of a municipal employee. Ahmet Temiz, who worked in the Çal Municipality's Cleaning Affairs Directorate, had a tragic accident while unloading garbage collected from the district center at the waste collection center.
HIS FOOT GOT CAUGHT IN THE PRESS
According to the information obtained, during the unloading of the garbage, Temiz's foot got caught in the press section of the garbage truck. Losing his balance, Temiz's body was pulled into the press mechanism up to his waist, resulting in serious injuries.
His colleagues, noticing the accident, pressed the emergency stop button of the garbage truck to halt the machine. They then called the 112 Emergency Call Center to request assistance.
FIRE DEPARTMENT TRIED TO RESCUE FOR A LONG TIME
Upon notification, health, fire, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. After prolonged efforts, the fire department managed to extract Ahmet Temiz from where he was trapped and handed him over to the health teams.
Temiz, who was severely injured, was taken to Çal State Hospital, where it was learned that his internal organs were damaged in the accident and he had lost a significant amount of blood. Despite all the interventions by the doctors, Ahmet Temiz could not be saved.
ONE PERSON IN CUSTODY
As part of the investigation launched regarding the incident, it was reported that a colleague of Ahmet Temiz was taken into custody. The exact cause of the accident will be clarified after the examination.
Çal Mayor Ahmet Hakan, in a condolence message he published, stated, "Our Çal Municipality staff member, our valuable colleague Ahmet Temiz has passed away. I pray for mercy for the deceased and offer my condolences to his family and loved ones."
