Karacabey Belediyespor was deemed to have lost 3-0 by forfeit for fielding a suspended player in the match against 24 Erzincanspor, while head coach Ercümend Coşkundere received a 2-match ban and a fine of 40,000 TL.
The decision made after the match between 24 Erzincanspor and Karacabey Belediyespor in the TFF 2nd League White Group made headlines. Karacabey Belediyespor was declared to have lost the match by forfeit due to fielding an ineligible player.
INELIGIBLE PLAYER WAS ON THE FIELD
The match played in the 24th week of the TFF 2nd League White Group ended in a goalless draw. However, the presence of Abdullah Uysal, who wore the Karacabey Belediyespor jersey and had a yellow card suspension, on the field caused significant controversy.
PFDK DECIDED: 3-0 FORFEIT LOSS
Following the developments, a decision was announced regarding Karacabey Belediyespor, which was referred to the Professional Football Discipline Board. The PFDK ruled that Karacabey Belediyespor lost the match 3-0 by forfeit due to fielding an ineligible player in violation of the rules.
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR RECEIVES BAN AND FINE
Karacabey Belediyespor's Technical Director Ercümend Hülakü Coşkundere also faced consequences from the penalty. The experienced coach was banned from the locker room and the bench for 2 official matches and fined 40,000 TL for participating in the act of non-compliance with the penalty.
OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM TFF
In a statement made by the Turkish Football Federation, it was announced that Karacabey Belediyespor was declared to have lost by forfeit and that the technical responsible was penalized, with references to the relevant articles of the Football Match Regulations.
The statement from TFF included the following expressions:
KARACABEY BLD. SPOR A.Ş. was declared to have lost by forfeit (3-0) due to the participation of an ineligible player in the match played on 01.02.2026, ANAGOLD 24ERZİNCANSPOR-KARACABEY BLD. SPOR A.Ş. TFF 2nd League White Group match, in accordance with articles 22/f and 23/4 of the Football Match Regulations. Additionally, the technical responsible of KARACABEY BLD. SPOR A.Ş., ERCÜMEND HÜLAKÜ COŞKUNDERE, was penalized with a ban from the locker room and the bench for 2 OFFICIAL MATCHES and a fine of 40,000 TL due to participation in the act of non-compliance with the penalty, in accordance with article 50/1-c of the FDT and by applying article 13 of the FDT, (by majority vote) it was decided.
