After the Israel session in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Özgür Özel made a statement that will create a stir.

A closed session was held in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey regarding the Israeli threat. Before the closed session, which would address the latest developments in the region, the press offices in the Assembly were evacuated, and the officials locked the doors. In his opening speech before the closed session, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly, Numan Kurtulmuş, stated, "As the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, we must move forward with unity and determination against Israel's expansionist policies, which we see as a national security issue."

After the closed session, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, responding to questions from the press, said that nothing more was discussed in the session than what is talked about on television every day. Özel made the following statements:

"THEY DID NOT SAY ANYTHING WE DID NOT KNOW"

The entire assembly listened attentively. Nothing more was said than what those speaking on television channels said in the evening. We said to speak under the minutes that will remain secret for 10 years. They did not say anything we did not know. The entirety of what they explained is this; Turkey should not worry about what Erdoğan said, there is no word to back it up. There is nothing that suggests Israel will attack Turkey from today to tomorrow. I want to express to our nation: We had doubts, but we are certain now. The most talked-about issues in Turkey are unemployment and poverty, and because CHP is the leading party due to the policies it implemented without hearing the retirees and farmers on March 31, they threw out the claim that Israel will attack Turkey so that Turkey does not talk about poverty. Like Karagöz and Hacivat, they want a fight so that real issues are not discussed. We will talk about what the real agenda of the country is.

"THE PRESIDENT'S MANIPULATION HAS BEEN REVEALED THROUGH CHP"

We are complaining to our nation. The President's manipulation has been revealed through CHP. If anyone says there is an Israeli threat, they would be doing injustice to the poor people. They did not put a brick under what President Erdoğan said. They did not put a brick to justify this lie. They are uncomfortable with the agricultural rallies and the fact that the CHP is the leading party. They are manipulating to change the agenda. If Hitler were to do it, he would say: When the Russian Army reached Berlin, we must unite and go to the concentration camp. They are doing something similar.
