The statement by Ori Gordin, the Commander of the Israel Defense Forces Northern Command, indicating that they must be prepared for a possible ground assault on Lebanon has caused an outcry in the international community, while the exodus from the country continues following attacks that have claimed nearly 1,000 lives. In Lebanon, with a population of 5.5 million, more than 500,000 people have been forced to flee to safe areas, while 5,000 have crossed into Syria.

The Israeli army, which continues to bomb Lebanon from the air, has killed nearly 1,000 people, while a statement came from the Commander of the Northern Command of the Israeli Army, Ori Gordin, indicating that the war is entering a different dimension.

GROUND OPERATION SIGNAL CREATES FEAR

Gordin claimed that they have "entered a new phase" in the conflicts with Hezbollah, stating that they need to be prepared for a possible ground attack on Lebanon. While the Israeli army's signal for a ground operation towards Lebanon has resonated widely in the global public, the exodus continues in a country where dozens of civilians lose their lives every day.

LARGE EXODUS FROM LEBANON

The country has been witnessing a significant migration movement for the last three days, with thousands of families trying to reach the north or leave the country. Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Abdullah Buhabib stated that the number of people displaced within the country due to Israeli attacks has approached half a million. It is reported that at least 5,000 people have crossed into Syria from Lebanon. Experts emphasized that the current situation is the largest humanitarian crisis since the Israeli war in 2006.

THEY FLED TO SYRIA

Syrian officials stated to the French agency AFP that the number of Lebanese crossing into Syria has exceeded 5,000, with one official saying, "Vehicles were still crossing in the early hours of the morning, and people were heading to the homes of their friends and acquaintances in the rural areas of Homs and the city of Homs." According to Lebanese media, there is intense migration activity at the land border crossing with Syria.

"DO NOT RETURN TO YOUR HOMES"

The Israeli army warned those fleeing from southern Lebanon, which has been subjected to intense air attacks for three days, not to "return to your homes." Israeli Army Spokesperson Avichay Adraee stated on his social media account, "The Israeli army's attacks continue. For your safety, do not return to your homes until further notice."
