Akşener is taking Kılıçdaroğlu's "Betrayal" statement to court.

Former leader of the İYİ Party, Meral Akşener, and former leader of the CHP, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who were the two prominent leaders of the Six-Party Table before the May 14 elections, are now in a legal dispute after the election defeat and the tension between them has come to the surface. After Akşener described her meeting with President Erdoğan in Beştepe as "betrayal", she plans to sue Kılıçdaroğlu.

WHAT DID KILIÇDAROĞLU SAY?

In the past months, Kılıçdaroğlu stated about Akşener's visit to Beştepe and her meeting with President Erdoğan, "If we have reached a common agreement among the 6 leaders on how we will govern Turkey (which is very valuable for our democratic history), and if we have reached an agreement on the constitutional amendments to be made in the transition to the Strengthened Parliamentary System, we should not have left the table and returned to the table. To be honest, I was not surprised when I saw Ms. Akşener at the Palace in the later process... Unfortunately, we can also see betrayal in these lands we live in," he said.

AKŞENER: I WILL TAKE IT TO COURT

Akşener, speaking to Sözcü's Aytunç Erkin, stated that she will file a lawsuit against Kılıçdaroğlu for his words. Akşener said in her statement, "Look, we started working today. I will sue both Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and Ümit Özdağ together with my lawyer. Because 'betrayal' and 'immorality' are very serious words. These are very heavy words and I cannot tolerate them. Since it is like this from now on, I am working on the petition right now, I haven't submitted it yet but I will take it to court."
