Amed Sportif Faaliyetler Club President Nahit Eren spoke about referee decisions and stated that points can be earned even during poorly played times, saying, "These leagues are like this. If referee mistakes or intentional decisions by referees are allowed to pass, of course Amedspor will not remain silent about this."
The president of the Trendyol 1st League team Amed Sportif Faaliyetler, Nahit Eren, stated at the press conference held at the Şehmus Özer Facilities that they are aware of the disappointment caused to the fans by the results they have achieved.
'WE BELIEVE WE WILL BE CHAMPIONS'
Eren pointed out that there are times when points are lost in such tough battles, and they are aware of this, saying, "As we said on the first day, we trust our team, our coaching staff, and our fans. Although there may be occasional setbacks, we firmly believe that we will be champions at the end of this road. It has been observed that a situation that concerns all of us has emerged, especially with the practices, bans directed at our fans, and sanctions against our club that started with the last Sakarya match, along with referee errors targeting Amedspor," he stated.
'DISCRIMINATION AGAINST CERTAIN TEAMS HAS BEEN OBSERVED'
Emphasizing that they have not made any evaluations regarding referees until today, President Eren said, "We cannot know if it is intentional, but there have been negative experiences in some matches from time to time. However, we have not made any evaluations. With the last Sarıyer match, as expressed by the entire sports community and all experienced referees, the red card given to our player for a second yellow card in a situation that is not even a foul concerns us as it seems to be intentional and organized. Indeed, it has been observed that there is a privilege and discrimination against certain teams, as stated in the explanations of the relevant club, which we did not cause but was noted by the entire sports community," he expressed.
'AMEDSPOR WILL NOT REMAIN SILENT'
Nahit Eren emphasized that Amed Sportif Faaliyetler will not remain silent regarding referee errors, stating, "We must continue to play our football and maintain the performance we have shown so far. You can still earn points even when you play poorly. These leagues are like that. If referee errors or intentional decisions by referees are preventing this, of course, Amedspor will not remain silent, the management will not remain silent, the fans will not remain silent, and the sports community of Amedspor should not remain silent either. There have been criticisms regarding our occasional silence. But it should be known that regarding the practices after the last Sakarya match directed at our fans, as well as the referee decisions at the TFF level, the Amedspor board of directors has made all necessary applications, all criminal complaints, and all legal consultations regarding the relevant individuals without delay, moment by moment," he noted.
'QUALIFIED TO ACHIEVE THE RESULTS WE WANT'
Finally, emphasizing the need for unity, President Nahit Eren stated, "The position we are in is not different from the position in the first 6 matches of the league. But this team finished the first half as the leader. We have 12 matches ahead of us. We have 6 home matches. We are confident that the squad we have, the depth of the squad, and the quality of the squad are qualified to achieve the results we want in these matches," he concluded his remarks.
