While drinking alcohol together in Taksim, a woman from the United States, who injured her husband during an argument, went out and attacked passersby on the street. The woman, who grabbed a person walking on the sidewalk by the throat, tore off their necklace, and threw their phone to the ground, also broke the front window of a taxi. Those moments were captured on camera, and the woman was taken into custody. The incident occurred on November 23 at around 11:15 PM in the Katip Mustafa Çelebi neighborhood. According to the information obtained, Sydney Rei Huff (27), a citizen of the United States, started drinking alcohol with her husband Velican A. (26) at a venue. In the following hours, the couple began to argue for an unknown reason. During the fight that broke out between the couple, the woman injured her husband Velican A. on his face and left the venue. INJURED HER HUSBAND AND ATTACKED PEOPLE ON THE STREETThe American woman, who went out onto the street, began to attack Mert T. (30) by squeezing his neck while standing in front of a market. Mert T., who was trying to escape from the woman he fell to the ground with, was barely freed with the intervention of citizens. During the scuffle, the young man's gold necklace was lost, and his mobile phone was damaged. After getting up, the woman then ran down the street and hit another person walking on the sidewalk. At that moment, the woman also attacked the taxi of driver Velat G., breaking its front window. A medical team was dispatched to the scene for the injured woman. TAKEN INTO CUSTODYThe woman, who also attacked the medical team inside the ambulance, was subdued by the police teams dispatched to the scene. After Mert T. filed a complaint, the woman was taken into custody. It was learned that Velican A. did not file a complaint against his wife, while taxi driver Velat G. had his damages compensated. After being taken to the police station, Sydney Rei Huff was processed and faced legal action for "intentional injury" and "damaging property." After her procedures at the police station, the woman was referred to the courthouse and was released. She was then deported.
