The President of the Turkish Football Federation, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, made statements regarding the betting scandal. Speaking about Zorbay Küçük, who is under investigation, Hacıosmanoğlu said, "When the account was opened, a certain amount of bonus was probably given. There is a bonus of 40 lira or something, and two bets were placed. I don't know the details, the prosecutor's office will conduct the investigation. We also asked the relevant units. It was opened and played with a Turkish ID number."
The President of the Turkish Football Federation, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, made statements live on CNN Türk regarding the betting scandal that has shaken the agenda. Hacıosmanoğlu also revealed the amount in the account of referee Zorbay Küçük, whose name has come up in the betting scandal.
"HE FILED AN OBJECTION TO THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE"
Speaking about the situation of Zorbay Küçük, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu said, "The investigation into Zorbay Küçük is ongoing. I also spoke with Zorbay Küçük. The data we received indicated this, and I told them to confirm it again. He said he played. Our referee friend said he did not play. The accounts do not match. He filed a criminal complaint. We asked the places we needed to ask. We are waiting for their response. A guilty person does not go and file an objection to the prosecutor's office." he said.
"HE MAY RETURN TO REFEREEING"
Hacıosmanoğlu stated that if Zorbay Küçük is exonerated, he could return to refereeing, saying, "If Zorbay Küçük is acquitted, of course, he can return to his position. We did not go on a witch hunt. The only thing we told our friends is that no one will be given privileges, no matter who intervenes. But at the same time, you will not treat anyone unfairly with zero probability. There is a responsibility for that." he expressed.
"HE HAD 40 LIRAS, PLAYED 2 COUPONS"
İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu also revealed the amount in Zorbay Küçük's account, stating, "When the account was opened, they probably gave a certain amount as a bonus. He has a bonus of 40 liras or something, and two coupons were played. I don't know that exactly; the prosecutor's office will conduct the investigation. We also asked the relevant units. It was opened and played with a TC number. The process is ongoing. It would not be right for us to make a statement. If a person goes to the prosecutor's office to file a criminal complaint and makes a false statement, they could also face penalties from there. I think a person would not do that." he said.
