BAR ARMED ATTACK: 3 DEAD, 14 INJURED
An armed attack was carried out at a bar in Austin, the capital of Texas, where hundreds of people were estimated to be present. At least 3 people lost their lives in the attack, while 14 others were injured. The panic that ensued at the scene and the moments of first aid being administered to the injured were captured on camera.
IDENTITY OF THE ATTACKER DETERMINED
According to a report in the New York Post, state police announced that the identity of the attacker had been determined following the incident, revealing that he was a US citizen of Senegalese descent. The attacker, named Ndiaga Diagne, was shot and killed at an intersection by three police officers who approached him. It was noted that he had applied for asylum in 2013 and became a US citizen in 2016.
