At the 68th Ordinary General Assembly of the Ankara Bar Association, a fight broke out between lawyers from the Libertarian Contemporary Lawyers and the Turkish Nationalist Lawyers Group. During the altercation, lawyers from the Libertarian Contemporary Lawyers (ÖÇAV) opened a banner in protest against violence against women and femicides, which led to a confrontation with the Turkish Nationalist Lawyers Group. Chairs were thrown, and punches were exchanged. One lawyer was injured in the head.

During this time, the lawyers chanted slogans such as "Jin, Jîyan, Azadî", "Women, Life, Freedom", and "We will not be silent, we will not be afraid, we will not obey".

Lawyers identified as members of the Turkish Nationalist Lawyers Group responded with slogans such as "We do not want terrorists in the Bar". The ÖÇAV lawyers then chanted slogans like "Shoulder to shoulder against fascism". Although announcements were made to calm the tension, the situation did not settle down, and the meeting was adjourned for 20 minutes. After the break, the general assembly resumed.
