Audi has been unable to find a buyer for its Brussels factory, which is expected to close soon and has been experiencing issues between management and employees.
According to reports in the Belgian press, the search for investors for Audi, a brand of the German automotive manufacturer Volkswagen Group, for its production facility in Brussels has not yielded results.

The Audi brand had announced in July that due to a decrease in demand at the Brussels factory, where the luxury segment electric vehicle model Q8 is produced and approximately 3,000 people are employed, a restructuring would take place, and production of these models would continue in Mexico. EMPLOYEES HAD TAKEN CONTROL OF THE CARS' KEYSAudi management had reported at the beginning of September that no models had been allocated for production at the Brussels factory by the Volkswagen Group. This situation had disturbed factory employees and unions. Employees had not reported to work and had taken control of the keys of completed vehicles. Audi had started searching for new investors for the soon-to-close Brussels factory. Despite discussions with more than 20 investors during this process, a suitable buyer could not be found. Audi's Brussels factory is set to close at the end of February 2025.
