FAN REACTION HAS BEEN ADDRESSED
After the criticism from fan groups about the "most expensive tickets in World Cup history," FIFA announced that special $60 tickets would be sold for the fans of the two teams playing in each match.
1.6% OF STADIUM CAPACITY ALLOCATED
According to the decision made, the $60 tickets will correspond to 1.6% of the stadium capacity for each match. No changes have been made to other ticket categories and pricing.
TICKET DEMAND BREAKS RECORD
FIFA announced that approximately 20 million ticket requests were received in the first five days of the sales process. It was reported that the results for fans who applied for standard tickets would be announced in February.
MATCHES WILL BE PLAYED IN 16 STADIUMS
The 2026 World Cup, jointly organized by the USA, Canada, and Mexico, will feature matches played in 16 different stadiums.
