Future Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu was a guest on journalist Cüneyt Özdemir's YouTube channel. Evaluating the recent developments in Syria, Davutoğlu used striking expressions.

"ASSAD IS PAYING THE PRICE FOR HIS ARROGANT RESPONSES TO ERDOĞAN"

Davutoğlu reminded that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had called for dialogue with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

The leader of the Future Party stated, "Assad arrogantly responded to Mr. Erdoğan's calls. Now he is, in a sense, paying the price for these arrogant responses. If Assad had sought a solution by reaching an agreement with Turkey, he could still be maintaining his influential position in Damascus."

"HE CHOSE TO FIGHT HIS OWN PEOPLE"

Pointing out that Assad has exhibited a sectarian governance against his own people, Davutoğlu argued that the consequences of these choices are now more evident.

Stating that Assad "chose to fight his own people," Davutoğlu expressed that Aleppo, which has fallen into the hands of the Syrian National Army, "is against Syria's sectarian regime."
