Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar held a phone conversation with the so-called Foreign Relations Officer of the PKK/YPG, Ilham Ahmed.

REITERATED SUPPORT FOR THE TERRORIST ORGANIZATION ONCE AGAIN

During the phone call, Sa'ar reiterated their support for the terrorist organization. According to reports from the Israeli press, Ahmed claimed that armed groups that took control in Syria were carrying out arbitrary arrests and executions against the "Kurds." It was stated that Minister Sa'ar expressed, "We raise the concerns of the Kurds on every platform."

On November 30, 2024, the Syrian National Army (SNA) launched the Operation Dawn of Freedom against the PKK/YPG terrorist organization. As part of the operation, Tel Rifat and Manbij, which were under the control of the terrorist organization, were liberated. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, in a statement regarding the operation, had supported the terrorist organization. Sa'ar stated: "We addressed the events and situation in Syria. I emphasized the necessity of ensuring the security of the Kurdish minority in Syria, as they are still facing attacks. The Kurds fought bravely against ISIS. The international community must ensure their protection from the attacks of radical Islamists."
