The AK Party will tighten measures against provocations to increase support for the "Terror-Free Turkey" process, will not allow hate speech, and will clearly explain every legal step taken to the public along with its justifications. Additionally, it will conduct the process transparently in response to allegations of "secret negotiations."
The AK Party is preparing a new communication strategy aimed at accurately informing the public about the legal steps planned to be taken during the "Terror-Free Turkey" process and preventing speculation. According to a report by Türkiye Gazetesi, it was stated that, upon the instruction of President Erdoğan, a comprehensive study would be conducted within the party to transparently explain the justifications for the steps to be taken throughout the process.
In evaluations made within the party, it was emphasized that the lack of sufficient information provided to the public has allowed disinformation claims to be effective, creating a ground open to manipulating social sensitivities. Therefore, it was decided that after the confirmation of the PKK's dissolution by state institutions, the legal steps to be taken would be shared with citizens in an open manner, including the justifications for these steps and who they would encompass.
STRIKING EVALUATION IN THE "PROCESS MANAGEMENT" SECTION
AK Party sources stated that the main risk management would gain even more importance with the emergence of legal regulations, and striking evaluations regarding this issue were included in the "Process Management" section of the report presented by the party to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). The report indicated that transparency and accountability are critical to preventing social polarization, and highlighted that producing hate speech through grievances, attempts to discredit the state using social media and communication channels, and increasing polarization through discourses targeting martyr families, veterans, security forces, and village guards are among the risk areas.
EVERY STAGE WILL BE CONDUCTED UNDER THE ARBITERSHIP OF THE NATION
The report also emphasized that every stage of the process should be conducted "under the arbitership of the nation." It was expressed that if society can clearly see the legal framework on which the steps to end terrorism are based, the conditions under which they encompass whom, how the rights of victims will be protected, and how public order will be maintained, it will take ownership of the process.
The report pointed out that presenting accurate information to the public in a timely and understandable manner would reduce information pollution, and noted that a decisive intervention of law and state authority is necessary against initiatives aimed at exploiting social sensitivities. The report also included the opinion that no steps should be allowed that would disturb martyr families and veterans.
