While a fee of 25,000 Turkish lira is demanded for a fake bachelor's degree, scammers claim that the diploma is also registered in the e-Government system. The images of these diplomas, which have an appearance that cannot be distinguished from the real ones, are shared on social media pages in an attempt to find buyers.

It has been observed that fake diploma sales are being made on many different accounts created on social media. In addition to the sale of diplomas from different universities and departments, master's, high school, and associate degree diplomas are also being sold on these pages. In the pages that are thought to be fraudulent, features of fake diplomas are also mentioned. Assurances are given regarding the sold documents, such as being registered in the e-Government system, being indistinguishable from the original, having the same conditions as real graduates of universities, and not having any legal problems. Individuals are also given the chance to choose various professions such as medicine, engineering, teaching, and veterinary.

Meanwhile, it was seen that a similar page, stating that it has been established until 2009 and emphasizing its experience in fake diploma printing, even published a price list. In the price list published for the last time in 2023, it was seen that the price of a bachelor's degree diploma is 10,000 lira, a master's degree diploma is 12,000 lira, a high school diploma is 6,000 lira, an associate degree diploma is 8,000 lira, and a primary school diploma is 4,000 lira.

150% INCREASE IN 1 YEAR

The page, reached by speaking as a customer, stated that the new price of a bachelor's degree diploma is 25,000 lira, which is a 150% increase. It is also noteworthy that higher fees are set for faculties such as law and medicine on some pages.

PERSONAL INFORMATION IS REQUESTED

It was learned that sellers also request personal information such as name, surname, address, and ID number from individuals who want to buy fake diplomas. Sellers also state that official exams such as KPSS can be taken and applications can be made to official institutions with fake diplomas.
