One of the two suspects who came to a meatball shop in the İzmit district of Kocaeli, opened fire on the shop owner. The shop owner, who was injured in the abdomen, was taken to the hospital.

The incident took place on Akça Cami Street in Karabaş neighborhood. Two suspects arrived at the meatball shop on a motorcycle with an unknown license plate.

The suspect named T.U., who got off the motorcycle, walked around in front of the shop for a while and then started talking to the shop owner D.B. After a while, the suspect opened fire on D.B. The bullet hit his abdomen and D.B. was left covered in blood, while the attackers fled the scene. The calm and composed attitude of the suspect drew a lot of attention.

Health and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon the notification of the incident to the 112 Emergency Call Center by the residents in the area. After the initial intervention of the health teams, D.B. was taken to the hospital. The police have initiated an investigation to capture the attackers.
