A 67-year-old woman, who fell from a freight elevator built for her physically disabled brother in the Bayraklı district of İzmir, lost her life at the scene. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
A woman lost her life after falling from the freight elevator she had installed on the exterior of her apartment building for her physically disabled brother in the Bayraklı district of İzmir.
FELL FROM THE ELEVATOR INSTALLED FOR HER DISABLED BROTHER
Fatma Ekin (67), who lived on the 5th floor of a 5-story apartment building on 7036 Street in Gümüşpala Neighborhood, had a lift system installed on the exterior of the building because her physically disabled brother had difficulty climbing stairs. Ekin, returning from shopping, lost her balance and fell to the ground while trying to go up to her home using the elevator.
DIED AT THE SCENE
Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. In the examination conducted by the health teams, it was determined that Ekin had lost her life at the scene. The woman's body was taken to the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy procedures after the investigations. Police teams have launched an investigation into the incident.
